UNIQ was founded in Israel by Shani Mor Aviv, a clinical social worker, after years of working with people with disabilities and people living with mental health conditions. One question kept coming back in the therapy room: “and what about a relationship?” The mainstream apps had no answer for the people asking it, so she built one — with a professional team behind it and a personal introduction call before anyone joins. UNIQ opened in 2026 and is available in the browser, on Google Play and on the App Store.
Adults aged 18 and over: neurodivergent people, people with disabilities, and people living with mental health conditions — as well as anyone who finds that the pace, the noise and the unwritten rules of other apps just do not fit them. You do not need a diagnosis or any medical paperwork to join.
